I have been a licensed ham radio operator since 1991, when I was licensed as a novice at the age of 13 with the callsign KB8MYA. I didn’t do much back then except upgrade to tech within a year and then 10 (or so) years later I upgraded to general and received the callsign KC8UNN. I didn’t stay in long, but got back into the hobby in 2010. I upgraded to extra and was given the callsign of AC8JO, and then later changed to KE8P.
I know a lot about computers, including both hardware and programming. I also enjoy photography, cooking, and running.
I am a trained weather spotter, semi-active with my local ARES/RACES group, and the secretary of the Milford Amateur Radio Club.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Cincinnati and a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida. In my paid life, I am a transportation planner and the manager of the OKI Regional Transportation Demand Model.
I am on twitter at @KE8P and can be contacted via email at ke8p at ke8p dot us.
